Our Story

The bamboo and the blossom.

The Bamboo Blossom is more than a bakery — it's a reflection of our team, and the philosophy behind everything that comes out of our one small kitchen.

What's In A Name

Two symbols, one kitchen.

In traditional culture, the bamboo and the blossom are a perfect pair. We believe the best baking needs both — so we named ourselves after them.

The Bamboo

Our bread & our backbone

Strength, patience, and a solid foundation. A good loaf takes time and traditional technique — the patience to wait for a perfectly crackling crust and a deep, rustic flavor.

The Blossom

Our pastry & our joy

Delicate beauty and the sweet joy of spring. Our pastries take a gentle hand and an artistic eye — a light touch, a little color, and just a hint of sweetness.

The Journey

From one oven to a weekly ritual.

How a Sunday habit slowly became a bakery.

  1. 2019

A home oven and a Sunday habit

It started with one loaf, baked for family on a Sunday morning. Then two. Then a standing request from the neighbors down the hall.

    The market table

A borrowed table at the weekend farmers market — twelve boxes, a hand-written sign, and a sell-out by 10am. The line that morning changed everything.

    The name takes root

Bamboo for the breads that anchor us, blossom for the pastries that delight us. The name became a promise: nothing leaves the kitchen unless both halves agree.

  4. 2024

    Small batches, on purpose

Instead of scaling up, we scaled back — one short menu a week, baked only for the people who reserved it. The weekly drop was born, and we've never looked back.

  5. Today

One kitchen, one week at a time

Every Sunday we publish a short menu, every Thursday it closes, and every Saturday we hand over boxes still warm from the oven. That's the whole business model — and the whole point.

A Note From Our Founder

"Everything in our pastry cases and on our bread racks is made by hand, honoring traditional techniques, and baked with pure love."
